ISREAL RECEIVES PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE
The Israeli Government on Wednesday, December 9, received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, the first of about eight million doses the country is expected to receive.
The Israeli Minister of Health announced this in a statement and said the vaccination is one of the most important missions that the country faces.
The statement reads; “A DHL cargo flight from Belgium’s Brussels landed at the Ben Gurion airport outside Tel Aviv, carrying a small number of vaccines for a pilot run of the logistics of transportation and refrigerated storage procedure.”
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the airport while receiving the vaccines said it would receive the regulatory approvals “in the coming days.”
According to Israeli authorities, on Thursday, another batch of vaccine is expected to land in Israel, according to health officials.
This comes exactly one week after the UK approved the Pfizer COVID-19 for public use.
On Wednesday, Eons Intelligence reported that the vaccine was successfully administered to a 90-year old woman identified as Margeret Keenan who hails from Coventry, England.
