ABDUCTED COMMISSIONER IN ANAMBRA REGAINS FREEDOM

The Commissioner for Public Utilities in Anambra State, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne, who was abducted on March 31 when gunmen attacked former CBN Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, in Anambra State has regained his freedom.


The State's Commissioner of Police, Bala Kuryas, made the development known on Monday.


The attack took place at Isuofia, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State during a meeting with the youths of the community.

 

Three security personnel attached to the former CBN boss were also killed during the attack.


Bala Kuyras, who said five suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime, assured residents of their safety and said calm has been restored to Aguata LGA.


He added that a manhunt is ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
