UPDATED: BUHARI SEEKS APPROVAL FOR 42 AMBASSADORIAL NOMINEES
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, presented names of the 42 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for approval, PUNCH reports.
One of the nominees from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was appointed as career ambassador, while others are non-career nominees.
Some of the non-career nominees are, Former Minister, Ademola Seriki (Lagos), Debo Adesina (Oyo), Dare Sunday-Awoniyi (Kogi), among others.

The President sought the confirmation of Williams Omoregie Henry as Commissioner representing Edo, Ekiti and Ondo States in the Federal Civil Service Commission.
He also asked the lawmakers to confirm Usman Hassan as Commissioner representing Kaduna State in the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
In a separate statement, President Buhari warned political appointees and other Government officials against using their positions to bestow undue advantage on anyone seeking Government jobs and other favours, saying this is antithetical to the character of the Administration.
