LAGOSIANS GROAN AS ROBBERY INCIDENTS SKYROCKET AFTER #ENDSARS PROTESTS

Commuters in Lagos groan as armed robbery incidents spikes in Lagos following the #endsars protests. 


Recall that hoodlums made away with ammunition and burnt several police stations across the state, leaving criminals with dangerous weapons lurking the streets unabated. 


On Monday, November 16, a commuter was robbed at gunpoint at PWD, Ikeja along at about 9:00 pm. 

The survivor posted photos of his encounter with the traffic robbers who vandalised his car and threatened him with a gun.

Several other commuters have narrated how robbers have been operating brazenly in the early hours of the morning, and late at night.


The Lagos State Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu has made moves to stabilise the State. On Saturday, November 14, the Police Command cleared the shanties were hoodlums take shelter and up to 720 suspects were arrested  


Some of the items and substances recovered by the Police Operatives include; locally-made guns and life cartridges, charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp, substances suspected to be cocaine and some items suspected to have been looted from various shopping outlets within the state during the recent #Endsars violence.
