BANDITS ATTACK KATSINA COMMUNITY, ABDUCT VILLAGE HEAD AND STUDENT
Bandits have kidnapped Alhaji Bashir Gide Banye, the village head of Banye in the Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Sources disclose that the Banye was abducted alongside a secondary school student after the assailants stormed the community on Friday night, shooting sporadically.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the bandits, after their shooting spree, proceeded straight to the Palace of the Village Head and whisked him away.
It was learnt that the shutdown of telecommunication in the area gave the attackers the opportunity to operate unchallenged as residents could not alert security men.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the second attack in Charanchi LGA of Katsina in one month after bandits attacked Barkiya town and kidnapped its village head
A resident of the town said the gunmen invaded the town on Friday night and went straight to the palace of the village head.
