BANDITS KILL 7, KIDNAP 20 WOMEN IN FRESH ATTACK IN ZAMFARA
Residents of Danfasa village, Zamfara State, grief as bandits struck the community killing seven persons and kidnapping 20 women in a recent attack.
Houses and properties were set ablaze, while several animals were rustled by the bandits.
An eyewitness of the incident who escaped into the bush, Mallam Adamu Danfasa, told newsmen that the assailants invaded the village on motorcycles and opened fire on the residents, killing seven persons and injuring 13 others.
Adamu added that the bandits later kidnapped 20 women, stole several animals and food items before setting the village on fire.

He narrated that the villagers tried their best to defend themselves but were outmuscled by the bandits, who had sophisticated guns.
The State's Police spokesperson, Mohammed Shehu, said he was waiting for the commissioner of police, who was attending a meeting with Governor Bello Matawalle before he could make any statement on the issue.
