FRANCE SETS TO ALLOW 5,000 SPECTATORS INTO STADIUM

Up to 5,000 spectators will be allowed to attend sporting events in stadiums in France when they reopen on July 11th, BBC reports.

The limit applies to big events, stadiums and concert halls, the French Government said in a statement.

However, the ligue 1 and 2, and the rugby league decided to end their seasons in April after they were halted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Government's decision means fans will be able to attend the French cup and league cup finals.

As of June 20th, 2020, there are 159,000 COVID-19 cases in France and 29,600 deaths.
