PRESIDENCY SUSPENDS IBRAHIM MAGU AS EFCC CHAIRMAN

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has been suspended by the Presidency.

His suspension is now pending when a decision will be taken on him.

Recall that Eons Intelligence reported on Monday, Julye 6th, 2020, that Magu was arrested by men of the Department of State Services (DSS) for money laundering and corruption.

The EFCC have however refuted the claim on their official Twitter handle, saying their boss was not arrested but was instead invited to a Panel on his way to a meeting at the Force Headquarters.

“The EFCC's boss was neither arrested nor forced to honour the invitation. A member of a legal team from the EFCC is also with him on the Panel.

He was served the invitation to the Panel, while on his way to the Force Headquarters, Abuja for a meeting,” the anti-corruption agency tweeted.
