You have the backing of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the President to use all means necessary to perform your duty successfully.
Thereupon, the minister explained that one of the devices of government is to ensure that convicts are kept away from society for them to habilitate and later reintegrated into society as better citizens. This is why correctional officers have to keep all inmates in their custody safe from any harm and to ensure their safety from themselves.
He urged the agency to keep up to its mandate of training and retraining officers for excellent performance and satisfactory delivery of the mandate of the Service in line with the NCoS Act 2019 if it must keep in trend with global best practices.
