LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND VOWS NOT TO COMPROMISE ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC RULES

The Lagos State Police Command has vowed not to compromise in its enforcement of traffic rules in the State.

The State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who made this disclosure on Sunday, September 27, during an emergency meeting on the enforcement order with the 14 (fourteen) Area Commaders and Heads of Department in the command at the Conference Room, State Headquarters, GRA Ikeja, said the traffic rules include driving/riding against the traffic, riding okada (motorcycles) on restricted routes and illegal use of the BRT lanes across the State.

The Police Chief said he has directed all Area Commanders to form Taskforce in their various commands. He ordered the arrest and prosecution of any violator of all traffic rules in the State.

CP Odumosu, while assuring residents of the State of his commitment to managing the traffic situation, also admonished them to all obey traffic rules.
