3 ESN/IPOB MEMBERS PLOTTING SIT AT HOME ORDER SHOT DEAD IN ENUGU STATE
The joint security forces killed three members of the Eastern Security Network of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, over planning to enforce the illegal sit-at-home order in Enugu State.
The information available indicates that the Police Operatives of the Enugu State Command, NPF Special Forces, and Troops of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army Enugu busted the ESN/IPOB members at their hideouts at about 0215hrs on Monday, September 18, 2023, where they were planning their illegal sit-at-home.
On sighting the security men, three among them opened fire which the security forces responded to and resulted in their death while others escaped with bullet injuries.
Items recovered are three (3) pump-action guns, ten (10) machetes, and other incriminating exhibits.
Meanwhile, an intense manhunt for those on the run is ongoing.
