5 SOLDIERS KILLED IN BANDIT ATTACK
Bandits have killed 5 soldiers in Katsina State, Eons Intelligence has gathered.
The bandits attacked the Nigerian troops on Friday in Marke village and burned their vehicles.
There has been a spike in bandit attacks in the north in recent years with the criminals perpetrating crimes like kidnapping for ransom, killings, cattle rustling, and armed robbery.
Last year, bandits kidnapped over 300 schoolboys from their school in Kankara, Katsina state and attempted to sell them off to Boko Haram insurgents.
The boys were rescued after 6 nights in captivity through the combined efforts of the Nigerian security forces, vigilantes, and the government.
