ABDUCTED ISLAMIYYA STUDENTS FROM TEGINA REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER THREE MONTHS

Over 70 students kidnapped from Islamic School, Tegina, Niger State, have regained their freedom after spending 88 days in the abductors' den.


Recall that bandits invaded the village in June and whisked the students away.


The secretary to the state government Ibrahim Ahmed Matane who confirmed the latest development said the children are being transported to Minna the state capital.


Sources say that the students are on their way to Minna en route Kagara from Birnin Gwari.


While the Tegina students have now regained their freedom, it is pertinent to mention that the abducted students of Yauri Federal Government College (FGC) have been in captivity for 70 days. Also, the remaining abducted students at Bethel Baptist School in Kaduna have so far spent 52 days in captivity.
