INSECURITY: INFLUX OF SUSPECTED TERRORISTS IN ZAMFARA
Reports on Tuesday, February 1 indicated the influx of several gunmen suspected to be terror bandits on several motorbikes towards Dansasadau forest.
Troops have in the onslaught of their intense offensives over the last few weeks neutralized several terrorists' leaders and their foot soldiers. The additional influx of several gunmen suspected to be terrorists may not be unconnected with moves by the terror groups to replace neutralized members with the possibility of fortifying their enclaves.

EONS Intelligence had last month noted that with the training of child soldiers, it is suspected that the newly recruited fighters will be employed to either infiltrate locations, gather intelligence for the terrorists or be used for diversionary and direct attacks on their targets.
Recall that the notorious terror kingpin operating around the Dansadau axis of the vast Kuyambana Forest, Ali Kachalla, is the one responsible for the downing of a Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet in 2021.
Credible Intelligence sources stated that the gunmen were members of the notorious bandit Dandela who had been terrorizing people along Magami-Dansadau area.
According to the source who craves anonymity due to the nature of the information, “They were heading toward a forest that links Zamfara with the neighbouring Niger State, and they were carrying deadly weapons”.
“The bandit leader Dandela has been masterminding a series of attacks on several communities along Magami-Dansadau and his team has been terrorizing the people and also rustle many cattle and livestock”.
Similarly, residents and those plying Dansadau-Magami-Gusau road on Monday took to the streets to register their grievances over the unabated attacks unleashed on the commuters making use of that route. They called on the government and indeed the security agencies to come to their rescue and provide adequate security personnel to secure the road.
Commuters are to always remain vigilant and maintain situational awareness and alertness. Use of alternative routes, where feasible is advised.
