GUNMEN ABDUCT VARSITY LECTURER AND THREE OTHERS IN OGUN STATE
Reports indicate that gunmen have abducted a lecturer at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu-Ode, Mrs. Lateefat Abimbola.
Mrs. Abimbola, who is the Deputy Director of Information Communication Technology of TASUED, was abducted around 7pm on Thursday in the Ijebu area of Ogun State.
As of the time of filing this report, her abductors are yet to contact her family or the institution she works for.
Also, a certain Toyinbo Olayinka, who is a student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), was also kidnapped in a separate attack.
She was kidnapped on Saturday at a private farm at Abule-Itoko on the Abeokuta – Ibadan road in Odeda Local Government Area of the State.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the victim was kidnapped alongside a certain Dominic, who is the owner of the farm, and a 17-year old Togolese lady.
Multiple reports confirm that the abductors of the FUNAAB student and two others have contacted the wife of the farm manager, demanding a N50 million ransom on each of the victims.
There have been increased incidents of abductions in Ogun State in recent weeks. On Sunday, suspected Herdsmen attacked a couple, Kidnapped the wife along Isaga-Orile - Abeokuta road in Ogun State.
Eons Intelligence has reported a number of abductions in Ogun State recently. On April 11, gunmen in Army uniform kidnapped a 13-year old boy in Abeokuta. Also, on April 1, armed men kidnapped three persons along Siun/Ajura road in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the State.
Similarly, on April 11, two medical personnel, Dr. Adetola Oladunni, and Mrs. Olajide Durojaye, were abducted along Imeko/Abeokuta road, on their way to their duty posts at the General Hospital, Imeko.
