Niger Delta Maritime Security: PFSO Forum Elects New Executives to Strengthen Port Facility Protection

The Port Facility Security Officers Forum of Nigeria, Niger Delta Maritime Sector (PFSOFN-NDMSA), has elected a new Executive Committee to enhance maritime security coordination and strengthen port facility protection across the Niger Delta region.

The election was conducted on Friday, July 10, 2026, during the Forum’s meeting held at Julius Berger Services Nigeria Limited, Warri Port Complex, Delta State.

The meeting brought together Port Facility Security Officers from various maritime facilities across the Niger Delta to discuss emerging security challenges, exchange operational experiences, and strengthen collaboration towards improving compliance with maritime security regulations.


The newly elected 2026 Executive Committee comprises:

  • Chairman: Chief Festus George
  • Vice Chairman: Mr. Bryan Robert
  • Secretary: Mr. Moses Ayotope Okondo
  • Assistant Secretary: Mr. Brilliant Yerinbide
  • Financial Secretary: Ms. Ifeoma Okonkwo
  • Treasurer: Mrs. Owazi Ann
  • Public Relations Officer: Mr. Tony Pemu
  • Assistant Public Relations Officer: Mr. Idiong Friday
  • Provost: Amb. Godwin Ibiang, JP, PFSO, FCIHRM, Ch.GHRA
  • Assistant Provost: Mr. Kelvin Ijealor
  • Auditor: Mr. Bobby Galani

The Forum stated that the newly elected leadership is expected to utilise its wealth of experience to promote professionalism among Port Facility Security Officers, improve inter-agency coordination, and support initiatives aimed at safeguarding critical maritime infrastructure within the region.

PFSOFN-NDMSA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the implementation of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing capacity development for security personnel operating within Nigeria’s maritime sector.

The Forum also commended Julius Berger Services Nigeria Limited for hosting the meeting and providing a platform for stakeholders to deliberate on strategies aimed at strengthening maritime security operations.
