GUNMEN ATTACK BULLION VAN IN ONDO, KILL DRIVER, SECURITY OPERATIVE AND CART AWAY MONEY
Gunmen on Wednesday killed attacked a bullion van in Ore area of Ondo State, killing the driver and a security personnel.
Recall, two weeks ago, Eons Intelligence reported that a bullion van was attacked in the Emure-Ile axis, Owo LGA of the State by suspected armed robbers.
The attack occurred around 5pm on Wednesday in the Costain axis of the commercial town of Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.
Sources say the attackers opened fire on the bullion van which was carrying an unspecified amount of money and the police convoy.
The bullion van driver and a policeman were shot dead in the process while the undisclosed amount of money in the bullion van was carted away by the gunmen after the attack.
Investigations have begun to unravel the incident and security operatives are on the trail of the assailants.
It is pertinent to mention that is the third in six weeks, as no fewer than four policemen had so far been killed in such attacks.
