GUNMEN KILL 15 FARMERS IN KATSINA

Residents of Yargamaji village, Katsina State, are in distress as about 200 gunmen killed 15 farmers in an attack yesterday.


The gunmen invaded the village in motorcycles and shot sporadically in the air.


Police spokesman in the State,Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident.


He said counter-terrorism personnel are on the trail of the bandits.


Recall that last month, gunmen killed about 57 persons in several villages in the State.


On June 22nd, Eons Intelligence reported a banditry attack in Maikwama village, Katsina State which led to the death of three people and others sustaining severe injuries of varying degrees.


Also, unknown gunmen killed about 20 persons, injured 26, and rustled cattle in an attack  on Kadisau, Kabalawa, Kwakware, Unguwar Wahabi, and Raudama villages.
