GUNMEN SET ANOTHER POLICE STATION ABLAZE IN IMO
Gunmen have again razed another police station in Umundugba community, Isu Local Government Area of Imo State.
This latest incident is the fourth attack on police stations in the last one week in Imo State.
Sources say the attackers were said to have thrown inflammable substances at the police facility and it ignited the fire.
The razing of the police facility came amid a sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) on residents in the South-Eastern region.
Recently, there have been unprecedented attacks on Government facilities in the Eastern region. Security formations, INEC offices, Correctional centres, amongst others have all been attacked in the region, while several residents have been killed and others injured.
On Friday, May 29, Eons Intelligence reported that gunmen razed down a magistrate court, high court, and a divisional police station in Atta community, Njaba local government area of Imo State.
Recall that Ahmed Gulak, a former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, was shot dead in Owerri, Imo State, on Sunday morning, while on his way to Sam Mbakwe Airport for his flight.
