NIGERIA SECURITY FORCES OVERRUN BOKO HARAM LEADER SHEKAU'S FARM IN SAMBISA

Nigerian troops of Operation Tura Takaibango in collaboration with local vigilantes and farmers have overrun a farm believed to belong to Boko Haram's factional leader Shekau in Sambisa forest. 


Viral videos capture excited soldiers jubilating on the farm while mocking and daring Shekau to come out from hiding.

Some locals were also seen picking some of the farm produce. 


The Nigerian army has recorded a series of successes in the fight against Boko Haram in recent times and the discovery of Shekau's farm could indicate that the troops are a step closer to capturing the elusive terrorist leader.

ADVISORY: With the army daily weakening the insurgents, the insurgents would likely launch desperate attacks on soft targets. 


Villagers should be extremely cautious and work hand in hand with the Nigerian troops by providing credible and timely intel.
