PASTOR KIDNAPS CATHOLIC PRIEST, COLLECTS N5MILLION RANSOM
Security operatives have arrested one Pastor Izuchukwu Anoloba and his team for kidnapping a Catholic priest, Fr Fidelis Ekemgba.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Hussaini, while parading the suspects said that the priest was held for over a week by his abductors until a ransom of N5 million was paid to them.
Men of the anti-kidnapping unit of the command arrested the deadly syndicate in Lagos, according to the CP, following intelligence gathering.

The abducted victim, Fr Fidelis is the Catholic Priest-in-charge of St. Peters Catholic Parish in Umunohu Amakaohia, Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.
According to the pastor, he regrets his action.
“I am a pastor with Apostolic Church of Christ in Lagos. I got N1.5 million from the kidnap of the priest. I never knew I would be arrested. I regret my actions because I am now a disgrace to the body of Christ and my family”, Pastor Izuchukwu said.
Meanwhile, the CP has commended his men for a job well done, promising to rid the state of criminal elements.
