POLICE APPREHEND TWO SUSPECTED FRAUDSTERS FOR IMPERSONATING RIVER CP
The operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have apprehended two persons for allegedly impersonating the Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong.
The information available indicates that the suspects identified as Amadi Hemenachi (28) and Goodluck Nnochiri (27), both from Etche in Rivers State, were involved in a case of conspiracy, impersonation, forgery, obtaining money by pretense, and unlawful possession of multiple ATM cards before they were traced to their hideout and arrested.
Meanwhile, Investigation revealed that they impersonated the CP and used the fake Facebook account to obtain money from several unsuspecting citizens (mostly job and admission seekers). The suspects equally revealed they had hacked into different websites, print out names of people, their phone numbers, and addresses, and thereafter call to defraud them.
