SECURITY OPERATIVES IN FIERCE GUNFIGHT WITH KIDNAPPERS, REPEL ANOTHER ATTACK ON KADUNA-ABUJA ROAD
The Kaduna-Abuja Expressway is no doubt becoming a critical hotspot for banditry attacks as security operatives warded off another attack of suspected kidnappers along the road on the afternoon of Friday, September 4.
The operation was executed with the joint force of the Nigerian military and Police near Olam feeds company, a few kilometres away from Kaduna metropolis.
The security operatives repelled the bandits from kidnapping their victims.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwa, confirmed this to newsmen at the scene of the incident.
According to him, some of the injured persons were given first aid treatment at Olam Feeds clinic before being referred to a Specialist Hospital for better medical attention.
While reacting to this, the State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, commended the security agents for their professionalism towards the fight against banditry attacks and other security threats in the region.
He also praised the operatives for their courage and bravery in repelling attacks by the kidnappers.
Wishing the injured persons and motorists speedy recovery, the Governor also commended the medical workers at the Olam feeds clinic for their prompt response to the injured victims.

Recall that the Nigerian Soldiers on Wednesday, September 2, killed 4 armed bandits at Jeka Da Rabi area along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
The troops overwhelmed the criminals with high-intensity fire, resulting to the killing of four bandits, while four others escaped with gunshot wounds, Eons Intelligence reports.
The soldiers recovered one AK 47 rifle and 5 rounds of 9mm with a magazine from the bandits.
On the same axis on 25 June, 2020, the Nigerian soldier foiled an attempted kidnap of passengers by armed bandits.
The gallant soldiers intercepted the bandits, rescued the victims.
Consequently, troops of the Nigerian Army, on 21 November, 2018 shot dead 14 bandits operating along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway and Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State.
No fewer than 31 persons including 18 children and 13 adults were also rescued from the kidnappers by troops of the 1 Division, Kaduna State, during the operation.
The gallant soldiers recovered 18 Ak 47 rifles, 2 pistols, 3 mobile phones and 32 motorcycles from the criminals.
However, two soldiers were shot, while two vigilantes working with the military were killed during the exchange of gunfire.
