TERRORISTS KILL 20 PERSONS, BURN SEVERAL HOUSES IN PLATEAU STATE
Terrorists on 10th August 2023 attacked a community and killed about twenty persons with over 10 others injured in Heipang District, Barkin-Ladi LGA, Plateau State.
The information available indicates that the terrorists launched the attack in the wee hour of Thursday while the community residents were sleeping. Set ablaze houses and residents that are unable to escape the attack.
However, the efforts of the operatives of the vigilante in the community were thwarted due to firepower from the terrorists that overpower the vigilantes' Dane guns, resulting in killing of four among the vigilantes' members.
Meanwhile, police have reinforced their operatives in the community to forestall further attacks.
