THREE PERSONS FEARED KILLED IN EDO COMMUNAL CLASH
Reports indicate that three persons were feared killed in a communal clash between residents of Sabongida-Ora, Owan-West Local Government Area of Edo State, and Uhonmora-Ora, another community in the council area.
It was gathered that the crisis commenced on Sunday when some persons went to measure the land at the boundary between the two communities.
This act infuriated the youths of both communities, who mobilised themselves to the area on motorcycles, and engaged themselves in a fight using dangerous weapons.
The clash prompted schools and private businesses in the area to close down as tension in the communities heightened.
Eons Intelligence gathered that youths from both communities also blocked the Ifon-Iruekpen road for three days, preventing commuters and motorists from plying the route, and also suppressing economic and commercial activities in the area.
