THUGS ATTACK PLATEAU STATE INEC COLLATION CENTRE, DISRUPT ELECTION RESULTS' DECLARATION
Thugs on Monday 27 February attacked the collation centre for the presidential and National Assembly elections for the Northern Senatorial District of Plateau and disrupted the result collation process.
Following their invasion, they chased the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other adhoc staff of the commission away and therefore stopped the collation process.

The trouble began when the returning officer for the Jos North/Bassa constituency election, Nehemiah Sanda, ordered the party agents to sign collated results which indicated the highest votes for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Musa Agah.
Meanwhile, the Returning Officer for the Presidential election for Jos North LGA, Dr. Lazarus Maigoro has enjoined the INEC to decide the next step on the result.
