TROOPS ENGAGE TERRORIST IN A GUN DUEL, RESCUE 30 ABDUCTED VICTIM'S
A total of 30 abducted civilians have been rescued from bandits/terrorist den by the Troops of 177 Guards Battalion in conjunction with troops of Operation Whirl Stroke and the Civilian Joint Task Force in Nassarawa State.
Information available indicates that the troops went into total gun combat with the terrorists following the incredible information of the enclaves of the terrorists in Abuja and the surrounding states (Idu and Chikara, along the boundaries of Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Abaji area in FCT, and Koton Karfe in Kogi State).
Meanwhile, two of the terrorists died on the battlefront while many of them fled with sustained bullet injuries.
