TROOPS FOIL BOKO HARAM ATTACK IN DAMBOA LGA OF BORNO

Nigerian Soldiers on Friday morning foiled a Boko Haram attack in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Eons Intelligence gathered that the insurgents had stormed the community around 6.30am on Friday morning, shooting sporadically.

The insurgents' invasion into Damboa had created tension and pandemonium amongst residents but the troops engaged them in a heavy gun battle, forcing them to retreat.

However, sources disclose that about eight residents sustained gunshot wounds at Kala village, near Damboa town.

Recall, on October 30, Eons Intelligence reported that Boko Haram stormed Damboa Local Government Area of Borno state, killing two Mobile Policemen (Mopol) and setting their head office located in the town ablaze with three operational vehicles.

The attack was met with heavy resistance by the mobile police who engaged the insurgents in a gun battle. The assailants, who stormed the community in eight gun trucks, overpowered the security personnel and killed two of them in the ensuing shootout.
