NIGERIA ARMY RECORDS MORE VICTORY, NEUTRALIZES SEVERAL BH/ISWAP FIGHTERS IN BORNO, SEIZE 5 GUN TRUCKS
The troops of Operation Lafiya Dole swamped on armed fighters linked to Boko Haram/Islamic States for West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists who laid a desperate ambush on vulnerable commuters between a location given as Gajiram and Monguno on Wednesday, 20th January 2021.
Early reports say the desperate insurgents attacked unsuspecting commuters using about 7 gun trucks around the axis of Ari Gamboru and Gasarwa along the Monguno road - on what sources describe as a robbery mission at a time given as 1 am.
Competent Military sources confirmed that following credible information from human intelligence sources, brave Nigerian army troops were rapidly dispatched to the scene where a fierce encounter followed. The troops captured five Boko Haram ISWAP gun trucks.

Unfortunately, the jihadist barely managed to escape with two vehicles and several wounded fighters. The same sources confirmed that troops have mounted rigorous surveillance to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorist.
It has been further confirmed that troops rescued women and children that had been kidnapped by the Insurgents.
"The women were taken to Monguno," he said.
