22 EXON MOBIL STAFF RELEASED BY RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT

Rivers State Government have released the 22 workers of Exxon Mobil, who were arrested for allegedly violating the State Executive Order restricting movement in the state.

Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Rivers State, Professor Zaccheus Adangor, revealed that the ExxonMobil staff were released without charges.

Adangor said the state government won't press charges against them.

The state government announced this shortly after the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria asked its members to shut operations and all activities at the nation’s oil rigs and export terminals from Sunday midnight.

It also ordered its members to withdraw all forms of services relating to crude oil production, refining, distribution and supplies.
