325 CHINESE CITIZENS EVACUATED FROM NIGERIA
The Chinese Government has evacuated 325 of its citizens from Nigeria.
The evacuees were flown via an Air Peace flight at 10.05pm yesterday night, and headed straight for Shanghai.
Recall that France, UK, and the US are among the countries that have also evacuated their citizens from Nigeria since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virus was first reported in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, and the country has reported at least 82,000 cases with more than 4,000 deaths.
As of May 28th, 2020, according to the NCDC, Nigeria has recorded 8,915 cases of the novel virus.
Of the 8,915 cases, 6,064 are active and are on admission, 2,592 patients have been discharged, and 259 deaths have been recorded.
