AKEREDOLU APPOINTS AMOTEKUN BOSS, ADETUNJI ADELEYE AS SPECIAL ADVISER ON SECURITY
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday approved the appointment of Adetunji Adeleye as his Special Adviser on Security Matters. The appointment takes immediate effect.
Chief Adetunji Adeleye will, however, continue to function as the incumbent Commander of the Ondo State Security Network, code-named Amotekun Corps.
This information is contained in a statement signed by the States Commissioner for Information and Orientation on Tuesday. The appointment is said to be part of efforts of the Governor to further strengthen the security arrangement and improve the working relationship between Government and security agencies in the State.
Governor Akeredolu congratulated the new appointee and charged him to double efforts in the fight against crime and criminals in the State. He also expressed satisfaction with his performance with Amotekun Corp, which apparently led to his elevation to this new challenging but promising role as the Governor's top security henchmen.
