APC EXTENDS CARETAKER COMMITTEE TENURE FOR SIX MONTHS
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday extended the tenure of the party’s caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee led by Governor Mai Buni by six months.
The decision was taken at an emergency virtual meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja. The meeting was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and other party chiefs.
At the end of the meeting, the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, disclosed to journalists that NEC has agreed to dissolve all states, zonal and national party structures.
He also disclosed that the party has approved the expulsion of former National Vice Chairman, South-south, Ntufam Hilliard Eta, for his failure to withdraw the court case instituted against the caretaker committee.
