Premier League Club, Chelsea Fc is interested in signing Bayern Leverkusen midfielder, Kai Havertz, according to Skysports.

This comes after the Blues agreed on a deal to sign German Forward, Timo Werner, for 54 million pounds from German outfit, RB Leipzig.

Havertz, who made the Bundesliga team of the season last term, is under contract at Leverkusen till the summer of 2022. 

The German-born attacking midfielder has caught the eye of top European clubs, as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also keen on signing the 20-year old playmaker.

However, Leverkusen is yet to receive a formal offer for their star man.

Chelsea Owner, Roman Abramovich, is prepared to back manager, Frank Lampard, in the transfer window this summer with the 2017 premier league champions having signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, and are also monitoring Leicester City full-back, Ben Chilwell. 

Kai Havertz has made 7 appearances for Germany. The Leverkusen ace has scored 15 goals and made 8 assists across 38 games in all competitions so far in the 2019/20 Bundesliga campaign.

German Football experts regard him as one of the biggest revelations in the country.
