BREAKING: EPL SETS TO RESUME WITH MAN CITY VS ARSENAL CLASH
The English Premier League (EPL) is set to resume on June 17th, British Media have reported.
The League has been Suspended for three months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No matches has been played since Leicester's 4-0 annihilation of Aston Villa on the 9th of March.
The twenty top flight clubs voted on Wednesday to return to contact training and met earlier today to discuss the resumption date.
According to the BBC, the first two matches to be played are the league's games in hand which are Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester United vs Arsenal.
A full fixture list would then be played on the weekend of June 19th-21st.
The English Premier League (EPL) have conducted 2,752 tests on players and staff across the league. So far, 12 persons have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Liverpool sits on the zenith of the EPL table, 25 points clear off champions Manchester city. They are on the verge of winning their first EPL title in 30 years.
