FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DENIES SHUTTING DOWN KARA BRIDGE ALONG LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY

The Federal Government has debunked the media reports that claim the Kara Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan expressway has been shut down from Friday, June 26 till Sunday, June 28.

Eons Intelligence reliably gathered from the Federal Ministry of Works that although experts would carry out integrity tests following an accident that occurred on Sunday, June 21, involving two petrol laden tankers, the Kara bridge would still remain open to traffic.

The Lagos Zonal Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, SA Obayemi (ACM) confirmed to Eons Intelligence that a test would be carried out on the bridge. Still, the road would not be closed “because there is no alternative route.”
