BREAKING: KADUNA EXTENDS LOCKDOWN

Kaduna State Government has extended the Coronavirus lockdown imposed on the State by another 14 days. 


This was disclosed by the Deputy Governor of the State, Hadiza Balarabe in a broadcast on Tuesday, May 26.


Balarabe said that the newly imposed lockdown takes effect from June 1, 2020.


According to Balarabe, the two days partial relaxation remains Wednesday and Thursday but from June 1, the relaxation window will be extended to three days, which include Tuesdays.


The Kaduna State Government had earlier imposed a month lockdown on the State which started on March 26 and ended April 26, then later extended by another one month, which expired May 26.


Balarabe, who is also the Chairperson of the COVID-19 Task Force in the State, said that the State will continue to enforce safety guideline on residents to curb the spread of Coronavirus. 


She noted that if the guidelines are not followed, the State Government will be forced to impose stricter measures.
