BREAKING: PANIC OVER PIPELINE LEAKAGE ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY (VIDEO)
Residents of Arepo, Magboro and other neighbouring communities in Ogun State are currently in palpable fear of a possible gas explosion following a pipeline leakage along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway of the communities.
The gas is currently leaking near The PUNCH Newspaper axis of the expressway.
Report says the gas pipeline ruptured during the ongoing construction works on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday, December 16.
A resident of Forthright Gardens Estate, Omobolaji, told The Punch that a loud sound was heard around 9:30 a.m.
According to him, the pipeline eruption caused panic as many residents of the estate rushed out of their apartments.
However, emergency responders have been contacted.
On March 15, 2020, Eons Intelligence reported that about 15 persons died from a pipeline leakage in Abule-Ado area of Lagos State.
