BREAKING: PRESIDENT BUHARI'S ALLY, ISMAILA ISA - FUNTUA, IS DEAD

A close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari and Second Republic Minister, Mallam Ismaila Isa-Funtua, is dead.


Reports suggest Mallam Funtua died while keeping a doctor's appointment on Monday, July 20th, 2020


The news of his death was confirmed by the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on Media, Bashir Ahmad, via his official Twitter handle.


He is suspected to have died of cardiac arrest as he was not known to be seriously ill.


Ismaila Isa is a renowned Business Executive and public officer with over thirty years of management experience.


He is the founding Managing Director of Democrat Newspaper and served as President of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) for 8 years.


The Katsina-born newspaper publisher and industrialist, was a Minister under the regime of Alhaji Shehu Shagari, Nigeria's first Executive President.


He was also a member of the 1994-1995 constitutional conference. He also founded Bulet International Nigeria Limited, which built some of the iconic public buildings in Abuja.


He was Personnel Manager in United Textiles Limited (UNTL), responsible for over ten thousand staff and a one-time Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


He is the founder of Bulet International Nigeria Limited (the largest wholly owned indigenous construction company) which built most of the iconic pub-lic buildings in Abuja.


Mallam Isa-Funtua will be buried on Tuesday in Abuja.
