POLICEMAN KILLED AS GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE FACILITY IN ANAMBRA
Gunmen on Thursday attacked a police facility used by Anti-Cult operatives in Obosi community, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, at about 2300hrs.
Information available indicates that the Gunmen killed one police officer and burnt down a building in the formation, using petrol bomb.
Security operatives were reinforced to the area immediately the command got information about the attack and were able to combat the gunmen, some improvised explosive devices (IED), which have not been used were recovered by the operatives.
The Gunmen who came in their numbers, using three vehicles. One Toyota Highlander, one Toyota Sienna and a Corolla car were repelled by the operatives who were subsequently deployed to the scene of the attack.
