BREAKING: SENATE HOLDS EMERGENCY CLOSED-DOOR SESSION OVER 774,000 JOBS
The Senate is currently holding an emergency closed-door session over the decision of the Federal Ministry of Labour to continue the recruitment process of the 774, 000 workers across the country, PUNCH reports.
This is coming 2 weeks after the Minister of State Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, engaged in a word battle with the Joint Committee on Labour of both the Senate and House of Representative, Eons Intelligence reports.

The lawmakers had accused Keyamo of hijacking the recruitment exercise from the National Directorate of Employment, which was estimated for N52bn.
The National Assembly suspended the public works Programme of the NDE as a result of the disagreement.
Keyamo, while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday, said that President Muhammadu Buhari had directed him to proceed with the recruitment process without considering the comments by the National Assembly.
