BREAKING: WHO TO RESUME HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE TRIALS

The World Health Organisation would resume Hydroxychloroquine trials, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

The WHO Boss said this on Wednesday, June 3, during the media briefing on COVID-19.

This is coming barely a week after the world health agency announced the temporary suspension of Hydroxychloroquine trial for the treatment of COVID-19 based on safety concerns.

WHO said its decision is based on the recommendation of the Data and Monitoring Committee's available mortality data.

"On the basis of the available mortality data, the members of the committee recommended that there are no reasons to modify the trial protocol," Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.
