The ban order was given by Justice E.A Obile of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt yesterday.

The case was filed by one of the PDP Governorship aspirants, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who has vowed not to stand down for Obaseki.

Ogbeide-Ihama, pleaded with the court to stop Obaseki from participating in the primaries on several grounds.

A crucial reason by Ogbeide-Ihama was that Obaseki recently joined PDP and only those who purchased the forms during the designated window should be allowed to partake in the primaries.

He also questioned the authenticity of Obaseki’s certificates

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed the Governorship election for September 19th, 2020.
