BREAKING: GOVERNOR OBASEKI JOINS PDP
The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Obaseki defected to the opposition party this afternoon at the state secretariat in Benin, Edo State.
Godwin Obaseki broke the news on his Twitter account with an image of himself wearing a PDP crested top accompanied with the caption “#ForwardEverBackwardNever @OfficialPDPNig”
The Governor left the All Progressives Party on Jun 16 after the APC screening committee disqualified him from participating in the primary election for the forthcoming governorship poll in Edo State.
The Peoples Democratic Party also posted a video of Obaseki at the Party's State secretariat on Twitter with the caption: Breaking News! The governor of Edo State, H. E. @GovernorObaseki has defected to our great Party, the @OfficialPDPNig
The declaration was made this afternoon at the state Secretariat of our party in Benin city, Edo State. Power to the people. #EdoIsPDP.
