UNKNOWN GUNMEN WRECK HAVOC ON ANAMBRA BROADCASTING STATION.
The Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) Awada, Onitsha Station was on Monday morning attacked by unknown gunmen who allegedly stormed the station around 2:15 am, burning a building and two vehicles, comprising a company bus and another vehicle belonging to a staff who had worked over the night.
No casualty was recorded at the time of this report, but the gunmen brutalized the staff they met on duty inflicting serious bodily injury on them.
Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident and said it was a case of arson but confirmed the destruction of Station assets including operational vehicles and buildings.
He said “following a distress call today at about 4:30 am, the Police responded swiftly and prevented the hoodlums from causing damage to the structure”
