#ENDSARS; COURT TO RULE ON EROMOSELE'S BAIL AS POLICE SEEKS TO DETAIN HIM FOR 30 MORE DAYS

The Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos has fixed Tuesday, November 17 to rule on the bail application of #EndSars protester, Eromosele Adene, even as the police have filed an application seeking to remand Mr Adene for 30 more days.

Recall the police arrested Eromosele at his home in Ikeja on November 7 for participating in the #EndSars protest. He was subsequently moved to Abuja without informing his lawyer or members of his family.

Eromosele was returned to Lagos on Sunday night and made to appear before a magistrate judge in Lagos on Monday, November 16 after spending 8 days in incarceration without notifying his lawyer.

“We were not served. We were not called that he was being brought to SCID. An ACP told me they didn’t know where he was. This sharp practice of the police needs to stop. They just wanted to shut us out. That was how they flew him to Abuja last week without my knowledge,” Mr Tunde Jinadu, Eromosele’s lawyer told the Punch.

“Luckily, some good people informed me that he (Eromosele) had been taken to a magistrate court. Thank God I have a car. I was able to quickly arrive at the court.”

Eons Intelligence gathered that the timely arrival of Mr Jinadu at the court saved what might have resulted to more days of detention for the Eromosele has "the police asked for an order to remand the activist for 30 more days, the lawyer revealed.

The court would make its ruling tomorrow, Tuesday, November 17.
