COVID-19 Relief Items: Ogun Targets 500,000 Families
Following the spread of Coronavirus in Ogun State and to alleviate the people of the state from suffering as an effect of lockdown which was said to start on Friday, 3rd April.
According to a statement released from the Governor’s office, The Governor of the State, Dapo Abiodun sets to distribute stimulus packages across the state to 500,000 homes with average of 4 people per house hold. He took to his verified twitter handle to restate this.
This takes effect on Saturday, 4th April, 2020.The bagged packages contain food items and hand sanitizers that will take each household through the first 14 days of lockdown.
He also stated that the people of Ogun state should comply with the STAY AT HOME regulation and practice the social distancing advisory. This is to ensure that the trained distributing officers get across all homes without leaving any home behind.
As distribution will be done across party lines, He assured the people that there would be no discrimination irrespective of the person or household involved.
