EDO COMMUNITY GETS PALLIATIVES FROM RESIDENTS BASED IN THE UK

The Sobe community that resides in the UK has donated relief items to the elderly men and women in Sobe, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State to cushion the effect of Coronavirus lockdown in the state. 


The donated items include foodstuffs; rice, beans, vegetable oil, soap and other essentials. 


These items have were disbursed to about 300 elders homes. 


The donation was organized by some notable Sobe indigenes living in the UK. They are Mrs Rosemary Fagbemi, Mrs Theresa Itua and Mr Eric Imiere. According to the facilitators, the program was embarked on to relieve their people of the effects caused by lockdown in the state occasioned by Coronavirus.


While receiving the items, the traditional ruler of Sobe, His Royal Highness Chief Anthony Ero Aleburu commended the generous act of the group describing them as true sons and daughters of the soil and ambassadors of the community and the state.
