EDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION: APC PRESENTS ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS OF SIX CONTESTANTS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, June 8, 2020, presented the academic credentials of the six contestants in the forthcoming Edo State governorship primary.
The six contestants are Governor Godwin Obaseki, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Dr. Pius Odubu, Chris Ogiemwonyi, Osaro Obazee, and Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen.
Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, on Saturday, June 6, said the primary election will hold on Monday 22nd June, 2020, while Election Appeal is slated for Wednesday 24th June, 2020.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Governorship election in the State holds on September 19, 2020.
INEC said that, the primary election and resolution of disputes arising from primaries should be between the 2nd of June to 27th of June, while the campaign commences on the 21st of June.
