FG BEGINS PLANS FOR REOPENING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS

The Federal Government has begun plans to reopen its international airspace.


The National Coordinator of the PTF on COVID-19,Sani Aliyu, made this announcement in a COVID-19 briefing on Thursday, August 6th, 2020.


This announcement comes after President Buhari approved the extension of the second phase of lockdown relaxation for another four weeks.


He said approvals have been given for aviation authorities to commence the process of the resumption of international flights.


Aliyu said the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and other aviation agencies, are to come up with a safe process through which international airlines can commence operations.


He revealed that when international flights resume, passengers would have to get to the airport three hours before their flight to ensure there is no crowding of the airports.
